Life is an adventure to be experienced . I once owned 20 acres in downeast Maine. where I built my own cabin by myself with only a little help raising walls and with laying the peak of the roof and shingling .
I maintained two vegetable gardens a herb garden and a large strawberry patch which I cultivated with hand tools except for one year when I hired someone to till the earth for me . I learned how to can and preserve food . I hunted small game only when necessary and I am a pretty good shot !
